2024 BRANCH 98 BURSARIES

Branch 98 is sponsoring three different bursaries for students graduating from our secondary and post-secondary schools in our catchment area. The requirements for the bursaries are as follows:

Each bursary has a value of $1,500.00

1. Applicants must include two (2) reference letters from members of the community or school, or place of employment. One reference letter will support the applicant's character, while the other letter supports their field of study. A family relation is not permitted to write this on the applicant's behalf.
2. A letter addressed to the Scholarship Committee stating the applicant's future plans. This letter should include:

• immediate plans following graduation;
• career goals;
• volunteer time;
• post-secondary schools applied/accepted at; and
• financial plans supporting their education goals.

This bursary has a value of $2,500.00.

1. This applicant must have proof of relationship with a current member of Enderby Legion Branch 98 in good standing, or a documented proof of relationship to a member of their family, past or present, that served in the Canadian Forces or RCMP.
2. Applicants with service in the 3063 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps shall also be eligible for this bursary.
3. Applicants must include two (2) reference letters from members of the community or school, or place of employment. One reference letter will support the applicant's character, while the other letter supports their field of study. A family relation is not permitted to write this on the applicant's behalf.
4. A letter addressed to the Scholarship Committee stating the applicant's future plans. This letter should include:

• immediate plans following graduation;
• career goals;
• volunteer time;
• post-secondary schools applied/accepted at; and
• financial plans supporting their education goals.

All financial payouts for these bursaries will be fulfilled upon confirmed registration to an accepted post-secondary institution, including trade schools.

All applications must be returned to Enderby Legion Branch 98 by May 1, 2024.
